Boards Buster is the perfect compliment to crack the core. Prometheus narrates some of the more complex sections of the books and also drops some additional knowledge. Not everyone in my program used the videos - but I used this to my advantage as I felt better prepared to dominate the exam.
THANK YOU for your enthusiasm and effort! By far the easiest videos to sit through – your sense of humor was MUCH appreciated, and helped immensely when trying to suffer through otherwise mundane material (i.e. “Non-interpretive skills”).
Although these videos are aimed at the US boards, I found them incredibly helpful for the UK FRCR exam. The style of teaching is engaging and the information is accurate and concise. The great thing about videos as apposed to other learning resources is that you can learn a great deal when passiveley listening but of course you have to consolidate that knowledge with further reading and practice. Thank you for making revision more enjoyable!
Just took the test this year and passed. The Crack the Core books are a must use! The way he explains it makes things, even extremely dry concepts, entertaining and simple. I cannot recommend this material strongly enough.
It’s difficult to have a perfect study source for a wide subject like Radiology, but this is certainly pound for pound the BEST resource available!
studied maybe a total of 20 hours outside work the first 2.5 years of radiology residency. Not an exaggeration. Feeling the pressure, I decided to place my trust in Prometheus. Read all of his books, latest edition x2 and all the rad videos x3. Supplemented with a few questions banks and ipad physics app. Rest assured this is all you need. Forget Core Radiology by what's his name and burn your copy of Brant and Helms to keep you warm while you use Prometheus material. It is all you need. Ended up > 500 on the exam.
Will be buying his stuff again for the cert.
The videos are a great way to study and get through the book quickly. The video illustrations/diagrams also helped explain the physics concepts very well.
I used CTC for both the ABR CORE and the written portion of the Canadian exam. Speaking specifically to the Canadian exam it was far better than Primer and other resources I had tried for targeting our MCQ section. It would not be sufficient for Oral exam prep, but its great as a starting point for organizing your knowledge base. He has a fantastic, engaging style of writing which kept me motivated for the long slog through 2 board exams this past year, both of which were successfully passed!
